Yesterday I saw my life coach for the first time in a couple of months, I try my best to see her every fortnight but the last few months have been crazy with the end of footy season, and Darius having to pull out of the World Cup due to hamstring issues we were forced into an early off-season. We travelled to Hawaii and Fiji, then before we knew it, it was Christmas, then we got a holiday house down the coast. As I say this quite often, it's simply life that just gets in the way of our safe place, our comfort routine as I like to call it.

That's something I want to be better at this year, ensuring I make more time for the 100% priorities, especially to do with my health and well-being. I tell you why, because when our mind is right, and our health is right, everything else flows in the current of it's alignment, when my mind isn't right everything turns to shit, I'm not centered, I can't focus and I'm overwhelmed.

So, if you've found twenty eighteen to be a little bit slow, that's okay, own it, endure it, trust it, live it. I feel as though there is so much pressure to bring the new year with endless aspirations, hopes and dreams and goals and so forth. The hustle and the bustle is already taking over and it's FEBRUARY GUYS!!!! Here is a little exercise that I'd like you to do, get a piece of paper or write it in your journal. Don't think about writing the perfect answer, just write one.

  1. What am I most happy about in my life right now?
  2. What am I committed to in my life right now?
  3. What am I most excited about in my life at the moment?
  4. What am I feeling most grateful about today?
  5. What steps have I taken to move me closer to my goals today?
  6. What am I most proud of achieving today?
  7. What's the top priority in my life right now?
  8. What good habits do I want to cultivate more of today?
  9. How can I make someone smile today?
  10. What did I do for myself today?

It's so easy to allow our minds to drift afloat, if you can practice this every day and answer these questions truthfully and fiercely, read them over and over throughout your day. Do this for one week, and see how your thought pattern and your mood alters. This is one of the remedies that work for me when I start to steer off course a little.
