SOFITEL GIRLS DAY OUT
Now I know why there is so much hype around one of the funnest race days of the year, Sofitel Girls Day Out!
It was Veuve Society's third event, and boy oh boy was it a superb summer send-off. Brisbane turned it on with a scorcher, and it was the biggest Veuve Society event in attendance to date.
Lee Carseldine, ex cricketer and a contestant on season 3 Australian Survivor has come on board as an ambassador for Brisbane Racing so it was nice to have a fellow ambassador accompany me in the Veuve marquee as well as judge the Fashions on the Field.
The Veuve Society marquee was filled with the who's who of Brisbane, socialites, athletes, influencers, public figures, entrepreneurs, you name it. The champagne was flowing as always... you wouldn't expect anything less in the Veuve marquee whilst the DJ's beats created the best track-side vibe.
It was a tough gig for Lee, Talita (Owner of Esther Boutique) and myself when it came to the fashion stakes. We had over a hundred entrants for Fashions on the Field, the hardest Fashions I've had to judge. The competition was fierce, but modernism took the win with embellishments of traditional race day attire.
As you can tell by just some of these images of the day, it was enjoyed by all! What a fantastic event Sofitel and Brisbane Racing Club - cannot wait for next years!
