Sonia Lewis, 32, wife of Luke Lewis 32, Cronulla Sharks

Profession: Stay at home mum, I was the Cronulla Sharks on field MC and Chairmans MC for the 2015 NRL season before having Hazel.

How did you meet? We grew up in the same area and met as 14 year olds, we remained friends until we started dating at 19 years of age.

Fondest memory of you two? The day we found out we were expecting.

Who inspires you? My mother is my inspiration, she’s a true angel on earth. She is always helping others and nothing is ever a problem, she makes anything work.

How are you finding motherhood so far as a first time mum? I’m absolutely loving it. The first couple of weeks were a little tough but now we are in the swing of things and Hazel is just a dream.

What do you love most about being a mum? I love waking up to my precious little angel, taking care of her, watching her grow and learn new things every single day. It’s amazing and I wouldn’t trade motherhood for anything!

How do you juggle everything? I have a wonderful husband who loves being a father as well as great family and close friends that I can call on if needed.

Greatest achievement? My greatest achievement would definitely be Hazel but also solely raising 110k for Zambi Wildlife Retreat last month and over 80k last November. Luke and I are ambassadors for this great cause and actively involved with the animals that reside there.

Passions and interests? Our daughter, helping others, being involved in the charities we support, animals, outdoors and travelling.

Everyday essentials? These days I can’t leave home without my baby bag and of course a pair of sunglasses, my purse and phone.

#1 beauty product? Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser.

Fave designers? Camilla & Marc, Ginger & Smart, Zimmerman, Scanlan Theodore.

Describe your style: Casual luxe and elegant for evening.

Staple wardrobe must-have? A good pair of jeans.

#1 health tip? Drink plenty of water and be sun smart.

How do you keep fit? I love bootcamps but at the moment Hazel and I enjoy long walks together.

Fave sports-luxe brand? Adidas Originals.

Fave sport? Tennis and obviously Rugby League.

Your biggest fear? Not being able to provide for our daughter.

Greatest indulgence? Arnott’s Scotch Finger Biscuits - I’m addicted!

Fave holiday destination? Bora Bora - it’s literally heaven on earth.

Advice to your younger self? Not to worry about what others think.

Career aspirations? I’d love to continue hosting in some capacity, as well as presenting and radio work.

What's it like being married to a professional athlete? Not much different to another one’s spouse really, apart from not having weekends together during the NRL season.

The best thing about Luke playing NRL? How happy Luke is doing what he loves, reaching his goals when he has played representative football and meeting new people.

The worst? Injuries and the criticism that comes with his job, in saying that, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

His best attribute? His honesty and loyalty, what you see is what you get with Luke.

What's he like as a dad? He is amazing, not having a father around when he was young has definitely instilled his ambition of being a great father to Hazel.

A talent he has outside of footy? Luke is great at everything he tries his hand at. I’d have to say that he is extremely good at clay target shooting and hopes to one day make it to the Olympics.

His worst habit? Luke’s a nail biter, I can’t stand it! I am always on his case.

Does he have any superstitions or game day rituals? Yes, Luke has always warmed up before kick-off in his training shirt, he won’t put his jersey on until right before he runs out.

How does your game day unfold? I’ve always given Luke space and let him do his own thing on game day - he is very focused. I generally get his lunch and some healthy snacks ready in the morning.

What's one thing we wouldn't know about you/Luke? I am fluent in Italian. Luke; he’s claustrophobic.

Fave time within the footy season? Women In League round - it’s great to acknowledge the role that women play within all levels of rugby league and raise money for a worthy charity at the same time.

If you had to pick another profession for Luke what would it be and why? Property Developer - he is so engrossed in the property market and loves the building industry. Although, he isn’t very handy on the tools haha.

Quote you live by? Never let go of your dreams.

If money was no object what would you do all day? Hire out Disneyland for my entire family and friends an have an awesome time!

What does your perfect day look like? 8 hours sleep, a good walk on a nice day with my baby girl and husband, followed by a lovely meal together as a family.

Where do you see yourself in five years time? Hopefully with a couple more children, living a happy and healthy life together as a family.
